The TMD 55' comes in three styles, the low profile Electric Cat, the Cruiser Cat which has its pilothouse windshield windows sloping aft and the Expedition Cat which is exactly the same boat with its windshield windows sloping forward.
The 55' Electric Cat, shown below, is a more roomy version of the 49' Electric Cat which was specially developed for our all electric and hybrid models. The pilothouse is on the starboard side and only extends a metre above the main deckhouse giving it a small low profile to reduce windage. It still provides an all round view while leaving a large area of the top deck available for solar panels and wind generators.
To prevent shadows from falling on the solar panels there is no flybridge or radar arch; the radar and antennas mount on a low bracket on the top of the pilothouse itself.

The two Pilothouses above are very different which is typical of owners wishes to have a vessel that reflects their own style.
Like most areas of our designs, pilothouses can be custom tailored to suit your specific requirements. It can be a full width pilothouse, a smaller central pilothouse, or starboard side pilothouse.
